It serves as a platform for analysing and discussing key operational issues in the conduct of clinical trials. It is made up of around 30 representatives from various sponsors, CROs, hospital operators, trial centres and the coordination centres for clinical trials at university hospitals (KKS) operating in Austria.
The members are personally nominated by the GPMed Board. The participants meet four times a year to exchange and discuss current topics in the field of clinical research. Among other things, the meetings result in topics for GPMed training events or GPMed statements on relevant issues. These are passed on to other stakeholders, such as authorities, in order to improve the framework conditions for clinical research in Austria.
The participants also exchange valuable information with other members and decision-makers of the respective stakeholder structures.
